Who we are

Hole One is the trading name of Hole X Golf Limited, a company registered in Ireland (company number 802152), with its registered office at 51 Craigford Drive, Killester, Dublin 5, D05 R2H3. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

What we collect

When you register interest in founding membership: your name, email address, and, if you choose to give them, your mobile number and how often you'd like to play.
When you buy a gift voucher: your name and email, and the recipient's name and message you choose to put on the voucher. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your card details.
When you email us: your contact details and whatever you tell us.
When you book or become a member (once we open): booking and membership details, handled through our booking system.

We don't collect payment card details on this website.

Why we use it, and on what basis

To send you news about founding membership and our opening, based on your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by replying "unsubscribe" or using the link in any email.
To answer your enquiries and arrange group bookings, based on our legitimate interest in responding to you, or to take steps at your request before entering a contract.
To process and deliver gift vouchers and honour them when they're used, because it's needed to perform our contract with you.
To run your bookings and membership, because it's needed to perform our contract with you.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with service providers who process it for us under contract:

Netlify, which hosts this website and receives sign-up form submissions.
Our email provider, used to send updates to people who have opted in.
Our booking provider, once online booking opens.
Our payment provider, which processes gift voucher payments.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or another safeguard recognised under GDPR.

How long we keep it

We keep founders list details until you unsubscribe, or for up to two years after we last heard from you, whichever comes first. Booking and membership records are kept for as long as we need them for the service and to meet our legal and tax obligations.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email info@holeone.ie and we'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and our fonts are hosted on our own site. If we add analytics or other cookies in future, we'll ask for your consent first and update this policy.

We'll update this page if anything changes and show the date at the top.
